1A S CALNANN/AN/AUnknownCouldn't find any info online so I contacted Hastings Historical Society president Richard Hughes who suggested local PEC historian Phil Ainsworth. Phil is presently writing a book on PEC dairy history. 2Alpha DairiesJanuary 19481948/early 1949Went out of business in late 1948, it appears.January 1 1948 Jack Yeomans, involved in the dairy industry for 15 years, purchased Whalen's Dairy and renamed it to Alpha Dairies Ltd. The plant was located at 57 Cannifton Road. The January 26, 1949 edition of the Intelligencer contains an advert for JEFFEREY and HUBBS stating they have moved to 57 Cannifton Road, "Premises Formerly Owned By Whalen Dairy". To me this is a clear indication that Alpha Dairies was a thing of the past a mere 12 months later.True
